They find the cigarette relaxing and comforting during those stressful times. Smoking somehow becomes an extension of their social life, especially when they are emotionally at the highest or lowest.</p>
<p>There are many quitting systems that can help smokers to ultimately quit this deadly habit. Giving up smoking all starts with one&#8217;s plan to stop. Support groups may be useful, too. Smokers have to grasp that to quit smoking may take more than one attempt. They might also need to try several strategies before they can ultimately succeed.<br />
Smoking is a nasty habit. Consider your body. You have to take care of it and keep it healthy. You have likely spent a lot on this poison. Forget your past failed attempts to quit smoking. Just remember that nicotine is your enemy and is destroying you slowly.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>With so many tips and hints on how to stop smoking it is very easy to understand why so many people really do not stop.  The huge majority of people are altogether baffled by the entire process!  What of the inconsistent messages passed around?  The fact is that with so much information passed around that is unclear to people it is often much easier to just continue smoking and hoping for a simple solution.  In Reality taking the necessary steps to actually quit smoking is not easy.  It means coming to terms with the fact that quitting smoking truly is best for you, as well as your health.</p>
<p>Most people are readily aware that stopping smoking can improve their health, but learning how to really conquer the impulses to smoke is difficult.  With so many temptations circling around, as well as the strains of daily living it is simple to understand why jumping into a pack of cigarettes looks like a great idea.</p>
<p>Tip #1 You need a good reason to quit.  Simply deciding to stop because the sky is blue is not enough of a reason.  The need to stop smoking is clear, but the motivation to quit needs to come from inside in order for the process to be successful.</p>
<p>Tip #2  Look for small incentives that you can give yourself as you make progress.  You are not likely to just stop cold turkey with no difficulties.  Set up small rewards that will help you to want to make progress towards ultimately stopping.  This can be a great motivation to keep you on track.</p>
<p>Tip #3  Plan out your quitting strategy.  Determine how you want to attempt to stop and stay with it.  Set a specific measure of time for your plan.  If after a time, say six weeks you have not quit, work on a new plan.  This will allow enough time to try each method, while still giving yourself flexibility to attempt something else.</p>
<p>Tip #4  Work to overcome your struggles.  If you are smoking due to stressful things in your life, you must deal with the stress before you can successfully stop smoking.  Regardless of the reason why you are smoking, it must be dealt with in order to stop for good.</p>
<p>Tip #5  Set up a penalty for yourself.  For example, if you generally stop at Starbucks each day for a coffee you might consider skipping that on days when you have fallen short of your goals for smoking.  Whatever penalty you select, ensure it is something that you care about.</p>
<p>Tip #6  Look for help from your friends and family.  You require support as you are trying to quit, and this will assist you to ensure that you are not alone in the whole process.</p>
<p>Tip #7  Look for someone to quit with you.  If you are totally on your own, you are going to be much more likely to slip back into smoking.  If someone is working with you and holding you accountable, you are more likely to struggle to succeed.  Working to stop smoking is difficult, but hard tasks are much easier to accomplish with a partner.</p>
<p>Tip #8  Make sure you are getting lots of sleep.  The business of stopping smoking is quite challenging.  If you are not getting the sleep you need, you are much more likely to be irritable, upset and mad with the world.  This is really harmful to your goal of quitting smoking for good.</p>
<p>Tip #9  Aim to stop for good.  This may appear a bit strange, but if you are only planning to stop for a weekend you are not going to put much effort into the process.  If you are planning to quit for good, a lot more time and effort is going to go into the action as well as your plan to quit.</p>
<p>Tip #10  Seek out ways to take your mind off cigarettes.  If you are always thinking about cigarettes, you may notice that you are lots more tempted to smoke.  Exercising, reading a book, surfing the internet, talking to someone on the phone and even fixing meals are all great ways to occupy your mind and prevent from thinking about when your last cigarette was.</p>

<p>You know deep within you are in for a long hard road, but at the same time, you actually need to quit for good. The concept of quitting many times is not attractive to you, so you are left with the job of making a plan of attack which will work, and work best. You are probably going to find this much tougher than anything more you&#8217;ve ever attempted to do in your life, and for good reason.</p>
<p>The number of people who fail at an attempt to quit smoking yearly is amazing. While millions are trying to quit, there are still others who are beginning to smoke. Everywhere you look there are smokers who are unintentionally tempting you to smoke again as well, which makes it even tougher for yourself. Attempting to overcome these challenges is imperative, because without having the ability to overcome these issues you&#8217;ll be completely unable to quit for good. Beginning with a good plan is vital, and this starts with deciding precisely why you would like to quit smoking. The reason actually does not matter, but you must know your reason. What you&#8217;ll need to do is spend an enormous amount of time making an attempt to truthfully decide why you wish to quit smoking so that you have a good reason.</p>
<p>Once your reason is defined, the remainder of the method should be far easier to handle.</p>
<p>What you don&#8217;t always find immediately obvious is that having a good reason to quit can function as a giant incentive factor. If you are just quitting to quit, you are likely to slip up on your goals, cheat and fall back to smoking terribly quickly. The rest of the jobs like making a schedule, and even attempting to find the supportive counsel of loved ones will all be a breeze. You&#8217;ll need to work conscientiously to maintain your commitment. This implies attempting to avoid places and scenarios where you&#8217;ll be tempted to smoke. This means avoiding the smoking areas of cafes and bars, not going to tobacco stores, and definitely clearing the cigarettes out of your house. If you can find somebody to help you quit who has an interest in quitting themselves you&#8217;ll have a big advantage.</p>
<p>While not everybody does great with the partner system, it&#8217;s a useful tool to use as you can hold one another responsible.</p>
<p>This level of accountability can be quite beneficial in making certain that you are truly working to quit for good. So many people work hard to quit smoking and only finish up smoking again once the going gets hard. A friend who is also attempting to quit can be a nice way to truly avoid the temptation since neither of you will want to slip up first. Use this to your benefit and watch your success grow while your health improves and cigarettes become a thing of the past.</p>
